Beautiful ceramic toilet jug of Italian manufacture, dating back to the 1940s-1950s. A product of the renowned Società Ceramica Richard of Milan, established in 1873 and then merged in 1896 with the historical Manifatture Ginori of Doccia (Sesto Fiorentino), giving birth to the legendary Richard-Ginori Group, the article, with a height of 28.5 cm and a maximum diameter of 17 cm, shows an elegant floral decoration on a mustard-brownish shaded background, in addition to precious gold-plated edges. On the bottom, the «S. C. RICHARD 25.9» marking, combined with the standard-bearing lion holding a shield with Visconti biscione (“big grass snake”), certifies us that the piece of pottery comes from the Richard plant of San Cristoforo sul Naviglio Grande, near Milan. Except for some light discoloration at the upper border and some faint craquelure at the bottom and the upper part of the handle, the item, reporting no cracks or dents, is sold in very good conservation conditions. A piece of great allure for all slow living lovers.
