Nice package of white, jasmine-scented “Vellutina Margherita” face powder, dating back to the 1920s. Made of cardboard, the small box, cylindrical in shape, once containing precious make-up, shows an illustrated top with the portrait of a girl, and, on the partially torn closure tape, product name and properties of its use, in perfect Art Nouveau style. On the bottom, a little label is still to be seen, with the retail price recommended by the producer (Profumeria Italiana Margherita of Milan): 0.50 lire. Despite the signs of time, the piece keeps intact all the allure of the Belle Époque era it comes from!
