Marvelous deck of “Marca Areoplano” (“Airplane Brand”) miniature playing cards, of Italian manufacture, dating back to the '30s of the past century. Scarce promotional item of the famous Antonio Livraghi shoe factory of Milan, enterprise, once a leader in children's footwear production, the first, in Italy, to introduce the so called “needle” shoe stitching technique, with neither pins nor nails, the pack, still provided of its original case, includes 40 miniature Trevisane style cards – also known as Trevigiane or Venetian cards –, with interesting graphic revisitings of the traditional coppe (“cups”), denari (“coins”), spade (“swords”) and bastoni (“clubs”) ranks. Complete of all its parts, the deck, in excellent conditions, still keeps beautiful colors, as well as, on the double-sided container, the archaic lettering «CARTINE DA GIUOCO PER BAMBINI / MARCA AREOPLANO» (“Miniature Children's Playing Cards / Airplane Brand”), with the traditional Livraghi monoplane trademark: a real treat for all maniacs of old tabletop games, of the 1930s, and, why not, of made in Italy's old glories, too!
