Wonderful Nazi-era sticker album about the German armed forces. Published by Cigaretten-Bilderdienst of Dresden in 1936, in the midst of Hitler's rearmament, the tome, in an elegant grey-green paperback, with brown spine and silver title and friezes, showed, together with explicative table on Wehrmacht rules, uniforms and banners, 270 beautiful full-color trading cards about weapons, equipments, training and traditions of the many army (Heer), navy (Kriegsmarine) and air force (Luftwaffe) branches. Only obtainable by accumulating specific vouchers sold together with cigarette packets, sending afterwards coupons and request themselves to the publisher, that released them in sets, the stickers, once glued on the album, were to be framed on the relative captions. Complete, practically perfect – except for a light moisture halo on the upper margin of the pastedown, a slight scratch on a small point at the top of the back endpaper and two super tiny abrasions on the surface of stickers n. 255 and 262 -, the album represents a real prestige piece for collectors, as well as an exceptional historical document for all the scholars of the Third Reich.
