Gemina Fernando, Anime primaverili – Romanzi Sales – 1938
Interesting bildungsroman of Christian inspiration, dating back to the 1930s. Published by Sales of Rome, the volume, a work by Sardinian female writer Gemina Fernando (1892-1979), defined back then āamong the most interesting ones of children's literatureā, tells the adventures of the little Alfredo and Ondina Vegas, with the valid support of the illustrations by Clelia Argentati. Despite several signs of wear at the spine and some scattered foxing at edges, index and frontispiece - see photos -, the book, to date, an unicum on the Internet, is sold in good general conditions, with nice cover colors and lively inner plates. An excellent occasion, for the bibliophile, to get his/her hands on a rare piece, at the same time rediscovering a now almost forgotten authoress!
