Beautiful national flag of the Albanian Republic or Albanian Kingdom, dating back to the '20s or '30s of the last century. Made of cotton, the banner, of uncertain provenance, measuring approximately 41 x 32 cm, displays hemmed edges and three double laces, for the fastening to the flagpole. At the center of the standard, the traditional double-headed eagle, coat of arms of Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg, Albanian national hero, still not surmounted by the golden star of the Communist era (1946-1992), appears to have been stamped in ink. In excellent conditions, the flag still shows vivid colors, and proposes itself as an alternative collection piece for all Balkan contemporary history lovers.
