Nice “Brauerei Aldersbach” beer stein, of West German production, dating back to the 1950s-1960s. Manufactured, according to tradition, in stoneware, the mug, of cylindrical shape, has a capacity of 1 liter, and is provided with a wide handle. Bierkrüge as this one are still nowadays customized by producers, and supplied to pubs and festivals to serve their own beverages, for promotional purposes. Not showing any breaks, the piece for sale bears, printed in blue on the side, the trademark of the ancient Aldersbach Brewery, in Lower Bavaria, established in 1270 (actually, 1268) by the Cistercians monks of the homonymous Kloster, passed then to the noble family von Aretin in 1811, and still today running prosperously in its hands. For all beer maniacs, it must be said, a really... appetizing occasion!
