āPlayerās Medium Navy Cutā 50 Cigarettes Tin Box - John Player & Sons - WWII
Wonderful āPlayer's Navy Cutā 50 cigarette tin box, of British manufacture, dating back to the Second World War. Produced by historical tobacco industries John Player & Sons of Nottingham, England, the package, with cover hinged at the top, included 50 āNavy Cutā cigarettes - in the early 20th century, by far the most widespread ones in Great Britain, and even after: these ones, in particular, were of āMediumā flavor (āMildā and āGold Leafā were available, too), the most beloved taste. Brand logo - lithographed on both sides of the top - was the iconic Hero, bearded sailor in hat and collar, flanked by two vessels and framed by a life vest, which, from 1883 up to the present days, would have served as one of the most notorious commercial representatives of Britishness in the world, even in the furthest corners of the Empire, through two World Wars. In a very good state of preservation, this piece will make the joy of both UK militaria collectors and maniacs of vintage smoking accessories!
