Wonderful couple of “Perfectum” gauze bandage packages, of British production, dating back to WWII. Manufactured by the Arthur Berton textile industries of London, according to the British Pharmaceutical Codex (B.P.C.) standards, the kits, issued to British military as much as to the Air Raid Precaution (ARP) civil defense services, included, inside a light blue wrapping with a cloth tear strip for a quick opening, a 3 Ins x 4 Yds khaki, open woven gauze dressing. Conceived for wounds, contusions and burns medication, the packets, in excellent conservation conditions, immediately take our minds back to the dramatic days of Nazi bombings on UK cities, and suit particularly well for the placement in WWII British militaria collections.
