“Stuttgarter Schwaben Bräu” Stoneware Beer Stein / Mug - 1 Liter - Bierkrugfabrik Klaus Ströder - '80s
Nice “Stuttgarter Schwaben Bräu” beer stein, of West German production, dating back to the 1980s. Manufactured, according to tradition, in stoneware, in this case featuring an elegant glossy finish, the mug, of cylindrical shape, has a capacity of 1 liter, and is provided with a wide handle: the «K.S.» inscription on the grip's left reminds us that the piece is a product of the Klaus Ströder kilns of Mogendorf, in Rhineland-Palatinate. Bierkrüge as this one are still nowadays customized by producers, and supplied to pubs and festivals to serve their own beverages, for advertising purposes. Not showing any breaks, the article for sale bears, printed on its side, the trademark of the historical Schwaben Bräu brewery of Vaihingen, near Stuttgart, established in 1878 by Robert Leicht, and still running today. For all beer maniacs, it must be said, a really... appetizing occasion!
